DEX Vehicle/Part Detail Technician

DEX Heavy Duty Parts, a leading supplier of recycled, renovated and surplus medium- and heavy-duty truck parts, is expanding its capabilities with the addition of a new facility in Oklahoma City. DEX is hiring for multiple positions in Oklahoma City, including technician and supervisor roles, and is seeking hardworking, energetic people to join the DEX team. Candidates should have experience in diesel maintenance/repair, heavy-duty truck service, warehousing, or body shop work. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications are preferred.

Role Mission
Support warehouse operations by performing cleaning and detailing processes on dismantled trucks parts and assemblies.
Core Responsibilities
  • Support vehicle and parts dismantling operations by performing various tasks including:
  • Cleaning dismantled truck parts and assemblies
  • Detailing vehicle cabs
  • Maintaining and reporting required documentation
  • Follow appropriate procedures in handling products and using equipment to ensure safety and health in the facility by complying with established safety programs.
  • Follow training plans and activities as assigned and directed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized work area.

  • Ability to operate under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to learn on the job and pass required company forklift training
Physical Requirements
  • Required to stand, walk, and use hands to perform required tasks
  • Ability to stand for 6-9 hours
  • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs
Minimum Education and Experience
  • High School diploma
  • 3 years of previous component/vehicle detailing knowledge/skills preferred
