IT Business Analyst SC HR Americas

The Solution Center Human Resources is responsible for all deliveries related to the hundred HR solutions in its scope. The Solution Center is supporting the Group HR roadmap, has full responsibility for runtime (cost, quality of service), and is involved in the delivery of projects. The delivery capacity is approximatively 80 FTEs.

The set of solutions in the HR portfolio supports different processes within the HR area in the Americas. In this role, you will be reporting to the Delivery Manager of the portfolio and you will collaborate with IT HR team in Curitiba-PR.
Wanted profile

  • As a Business Analyst, you will create an efficient and trustful day-to-day operation for HR. You have proven experience in business analysis and excel in demonstrating Volvo Values.

  • You will need to actively cooperate mainly with HR stakeholders and navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment.

  • You like to work in a regional team, in an outgoing and communicative environment.

  • Opened minded professional, with a focus on simple and efficient HR solutions, capable of working on a fast-paced and agile environment.

  • Someone with experience with HR applications, fostering for HR Digital Transformation (HR 3.0).


Required competencies

  • Relevant experience as an IT Business Analyst.

  • Good knowledge and experience from Human Resources processes.

  • Strong experience with HR system & applications.

  • Good experience with Senior Systems.

  • Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum and design thinking).

  • Strong experience of working in an IT delivery organization.

  • Relevant University degree.

  • Excellent communication & presentation skills are a requirement.

  • English B2 or higher.


Responsibilities & activities

  • Be the point of contact for business requirements and roll out needs.

  • Collaborate with the Key User network together with the process leaders in order to propose changes and improvement to the HR Applications.

  • Ensure execution of decided requirements and/or designed solutions are correctly understood and executed.

  • Participate in the planning of enhancement activities for HR solutions.

  • Work closely with the external supplier challenging them to deliver the best-fit solution for Volvo Group.

  • Identify actual and potential software solutions and provide analysis of the maintenance team and external suppliers.

  • Continuously work to improve existing ways of working and secure continuity management for the solutions (end to end).

  • Responsible for the description of the AS-IS and the TO-BE processes in collaboration with HR Lean process area.

  • Convert functional specifications into technical specifications.

  • Support prioritization of scope based on end-user needs and business value.

  • Contribute to HR applications expertise in business critical and strategic projects.

  • Understand complex issues and identify opportunities and risks.

  • Recommend alternative solutions and identify deficiencies when necessary.
